NEW STORY -Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell announce they are moving out of L.A. after two back-to-back burglaries — Story of the Day

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples, have long called Los Angeles home. However, Goldie recently revealed the chilling reasons that finally convinced her to leave the City of Angels behind.

In a candid conversation on Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, the veteran actress opened up about two terrifying incidents that shook her family to their core. As L.A.’s crime rates continue to climb, not even the glamorous homes of Hollywood’s elite are immune. Goldie shared that their own home was targeted twice in a short span, leaving her and her family feeling vulnerable and unsettled.

“The glitz and glamor of L.A. just don’t appeal to me anymore,” Goldie admitted, reflecting on how the unsettling break-ins have changed her perspective. Now, she’s ready to pack up and find a safer, more peaceful place to call home.

Goldie Hawn revealed that she and her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, have been considering a move away from Los Angeles, exploring options like Palm Desert, which they view as safer and more peaceful. Reflecting on the city they once loved, Goldie didn’t hold back, calling the current state of L.A. “terrible.”

The couple’s decision stems from two harrowing break-ins they endured at their own home. Goldie shared chilling details about the incidents, recounting how the intruders targeted their property. In one instance, robbers successfully broke in, rummaging through their rooms and making off with valuables.

“They completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door,” she explained, emphasizing the robbers’ level of sophistication. “They got a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean.” The incidents have left Goldie and Kurt rethinking their future in the city, prioritizing safety and peace of mind above all else.

Just as Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were trying to move past the trauma of their first break-in, disaster struck again. Only four months after the initial incident, their home was targeted by robbers once more. This second intrusion was a tipping point for Goldie, making her realize that Los Angeles might no longer be the right place for her and her family.

The repeated invasions left Goldie deeply shaken. Even now, she admits she struggles to fully relax, constantly keeping her guard up. “It’s hard to feel safe anymore,” she confessed, underscoring how profoundly these events have impacted her sense of security.

Unfortunately, Goldie’s experience isn’t unique. In 2024, a string of high-profile individuals, including King Bach, Corinna Kopf, Farrah Aldjufrie, and Patrick Patterson, also fell victim to similar crimes. The alarming rise in burglaries has left many reconsidering the safety of their homes in the city that once symbolized glitz and glamour.
